Scholarship 1

The Julie Patel Foundation pledged $50,000 to the University of Toronto. This gift has been matched by the University for a total Endowment Fund of $100,000. The income earned will generate bursaries/scholarships of $4,000 annually in perpetuity. This commitment by the Foundation has been completely fulfilled. The scholarship is named The Julie Patel Foundation Award and award(s) are disbursed annually to one or more students enrolled in an Arts & Science program who have attained a high academic average and demonstrated financial need. This scholarship was first awarded in the 2020-2021 academic year.

Scholarship 2

The Julie Patel Foundation pledged $50,000 to the University of Toronto, Temerty Faculty of Medicine. This gift will be matched by the University for a total Endowment Fund of $100,000. The income earned will generate bursaries/scholarships of $4,000 annually in perpetuity, named The Julie Patel Foundation Award. The award(s) will be disbursed annually to one or more students enrolled in the Temerty Faculty of Medicine who has attained a high academic average and demonstrated financial need. The Foundation and The University of Toronto have disbursed this award annually since 2021 with additional annual pledges by the Foundation until the fund reaches its target, which is anticipated in the next 2 to 4 years.
