The Julie Patel Foundation donated $25,000 to Toronto Metropolitan University, Undergraduate Studies in 2021 and $25,000 in 2023. This gift has been matched by the University for a total Endowment Fund of $100,000. The income earned will generate scholarships of approximately $4,000 annually in perpetuity. The scholarship is named The Julie Patel Foundation Award and award(s) are disbursed annually to one or more students enrolled in an Undergraduate Program who have attained a high academic average and demonstrated financial need. This scholarship was first awarded in 2021.
