Scholarship 1

The Julie Patel Foundation donated $37,500 to Cape Breton University, School of Medicine in 2024. An anonymous donor has contributed $12,500 and Cape Breton University has matched the $5000 for a total Endowment Fund of $100,000. The income earned will generate scholarships of approximately $4,000 annually in perpetuity. The scholarship is named The Julie Patel Foundation Award and award(s) are disbursed annually to one or more students enrolled in an Undergraduate Program who have attained a high academic average and demonstrated financial need. This scholarship will be awarded in 2025, the first inaugural year of the Cape Breton School of Medicine.
