The Julie Patel Foundation donated €70,000 $37,500 to The University of Medicine and Health Sciences, Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) in 2025. An anonymous donor to RCSI has contributed €30,000 to be combined with the Julie Patel Foundation of €70,000 for a total of €100,00 ($158,000). The Julie Patel Foundation has joined together with another donor (€100,00) to collectively create a Pooled Endowment Model whereby the payout in interest is pro rata to the investment.

Other donors: €150k (60%)

The scholarship is named The Julie Patel Foundation Award and award(s) are disbursed annually to one or more students enrolled in a RCSI University of Medicine and Health Sciences Program. RCSI’s Scholarships Awards Committee will determine the scholarship priority in line with the Julie Patel Foundation’s designation.

This award will be disbursed in 2026.
